Berlin & the 12 Apostles ...
This idea was born during a trip to Italy. Many of our experiences and impressions can be found in the design of the Berlin restaurants and on the menu.
For example, the name 12 Apostoli evokes an evening in the northern Italian city of Verona, where the restaurant "I dodici Apostoli" is located in an old palazzo (but no pizza is served there).
The name "I dodici Apostoli" had no direct Biblical background there in Verona: In the 18th century, twelve merchants regularly met at the former hostel to conclude their business with a handshake with a glass of Valpolicella and a simple meal. The Veronese jokingly called these gentlemen "The Twelve Apostles" ...
